Storm Line Moves In This Morning With Low Instability but High Impact Potential

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -Patchy fog may develop early this morning, so use caution if you’ll be on the roads. Today will be very warm, with temperatures climbing back into the 70s under unsettled, stormy conditions. Periods of storms are expected throughout the day and could affect early Thanksgiving travel.

A line of storms is expected to move in this morning, and these storms will impact the morning commute with heavy rain, gusty winds, and reduced visibility. While instability remains limited, an isolated severe storm still can’t be ruled out. After the main line pushes through, we’ll continue to see isolated storms through the afternoon. Localized flash flooding is possible, and Central Mississippi could still pick up significant rain over the coming days.

The weekend is shaping up to be fairly pleasant, with drier weather and highs in the 70s. A stray storm or two is still possible on Saturday, but most areas should remain dry. Conditions look favorable for the Alcorn vs. Jackson State game at 2:30 p.m…
