JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Hinds County jury found a man guilty in connection to the shooting death of a woman at a Jackson motel.
Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens said Antonio Ames, 38, was found guilty of first-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
On August 27, 2020, Jackson police responded to the Intown Suites in North Jackson regarding a shooting. When they arrived, officers found Jennifer Ann Ray, 30, unresponsive outside the door of the motel room she shared with Ames. Ray was pronounced deceased at the scene.
