JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -Showers and storms are moving through the area now, and widespread thunderstorms will continue through the early morning commute before clearing out later this morning. While the strongest storms occurred overnight, storms are still ongoing this morning and may produce strong wind gusts, hail, heavy rainfall, and even a brief tornado. A Level 2/5 Slight Risk remains in place for parts of the region, with a Level 1 risk elsewhere as the line moves east and weakens.
Rainfall totals by the time the system fully exits will range from 1 to 3 inches across the area.
