Jackson city crews to soon take over right-of-way maintenance, CAO says

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Jackson city crews will again be taking over maintenance of rights-of-way.

This week, officials revealed details about its plan to bring grass-cutting in house, which includes establishing two crews of city employees to do much of the work.

“This will get us through winter,” said Chief Administrative Officer Pieter Teeuwissen. “When grass growing starts again in March, we’re going to have to [re]evaluate this.”…
