JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Visit Jackson announced that the City of Jackson was named the South’s Top Culinary Town for 2025 by The Local Palate in the publication’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards.

After two rounds of public voting in July 2025, Jackson emerged as the region’s top pick. The Local Palate noted in a recent city profile that Jackson offers varied culinary experiences anchored by bold flavors, global influences and the people who bring them to life.
