JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The City of Jackson announced that Mayor John Horhn has chosen Dr. Robert Smith to serve as Grand Marshal in the 2025 Christmas parade.
Dr. Smith is the CEO of Central Mississippi Health Services and shared a little about his role in advocating for healthcare throughout the years.
“I have pioneered in trying to make healthcare a right for all Americans,” Dr. Smith said. “Shortly after Medgar Evers’ death, I and two other physicians took on the American Medical Association, who controlled healthcare from the front door to the back door.”…
