Cougar Holiday Market helps fund dance contest trip

FLOWOOD, Miss. (WJTV) – The Northwest Rankin Cougarettes held their 7th Annual Cougar Holiday Market on Sunday.

What started as a small holiday pop-up has grown into a full-scale annual market. For just $5.00, visitors were able to get access to 150 vendors at Northwest Rankin High School. The money goes directly toward supporting the Cougarettes’ trip to nationals.

“Our national dancing competition in Orlando, Florida, is a really big expense. And so, we have flights to get us there, transportation while we’re in Orlando. And then also for the actual competition in housing itself. And so, this event almost pretty much covers the entire cost of that trip, which is a huge help to our dancers,” said Michaelah Martin, the Varsity Dance coach for the Cougarettes…
