CMU commissioner tied to Canton bribery scandal appeals conviction to Fifth Circuit

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A former Canton Municipal Utilities commissioner convicted on two felony corruption charges has appealed his conviction to the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Cleveland Anderson is expected to be sentenced on two counts on Wednesday afternoon in U.S. District Court in connection with a bribery scheme dating back to 2016.
