JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Dilapidated structures are not only eyesores in neighborhoods struggling to maintain their appearance, but can also be a danger. Out-of-town property owners are a problem for many when properties sit empty and unsecured.
Connie Taylor’s west Jackson home sits between two vacant houses, both of which have burned. This September, in the early morning hours, a second blaze started, spreading to her home while she was still inside it.
