JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Four New York residents have been sentenced in an identity theft and bank fraud conspiracy scheme in Mississippi.
Jaivon Davon Taylor, Jadin Winfield, Dennis James Swint and Nicolas Beltre, all residents of New York state, conspired with each other to use false passports in a scheme to obtain money from banks in Jackson fraudulently.

According to court documents, the defendants used individuals’ stolen identities to create counterfeit passport cards and credit cards, which were then presented to banks in Jackson to make fraudulent withdrawals. These stolen identities were received from mail stolen by another criminal group in Mississippi, who have pled guilty to state charges.
The Madison County Police caught the group after a bank employee noticed irregularities in attempted bank withdrawals and notified the police. Taylor, Winfield and Swint were caught in a rental vehicle, whereas Beltre was later arrested in New York on a federal warrant from Mississippi…
