Employee shot at Jackson motel after customer dispute

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) –  Another shooting occurred on Thursday in the capital city.

According to the Jackson Police Department (JPD), the shooting happened at the Rainbow Motel off Medgar Evers Boulevard against an employee. Before the shooting, the employee was in an argument with a customer regarding a rented room. It ended with the customer shooting the employee several times and then leaving the scene by car with another person. The driver’s identity is currently unknown, but the pair left the motel in a white four-door Honda.

The victim is currently listed in stable condition at a local hospital. JPD has a possible identity of the suspect and is verifying this and other information…
