Man charged in Jackson mass shooting calling for release after not receiving preliminary hearing

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A man arrested in connection with a deadly shooting following the Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade earlier this year, is calling for his release, after he says he has yet to be given a preliminary hearing.

Marquavius McLeod faces seven felony counts in connection with the March 22 shooting in downtown Jackson that left one dead and seven others injured.

He and his brother Michael were arrested on March 27 in connection with that incident…
