JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson City Councilman Kenneth Stokes, Ward 3, pushed for renovations at a local park.
According to Stokes, promises were made years ago that Grove Park would be revitalized. He said not doing so lowers the value of the capital city and takes away options for families to enjoy the park.

“There were promises made by prior administration that over $1 million would be used to help renovate the Grove Park Community Center and park, which includes the golf course. And nothing has been done,” Stokes said.
He hopes the new administration can find funding for the park’s renovation.
