JPD mourns the death of Officer Robert L. Myers

JACKSON — The Jackson Police Department is grieving the death of Officer Robert L. Myers, a three‑year veteran of the force who was remembered for his dedication, professionalism and service to the community.

In a statement, the department said Myers continued to work despite facing health challenges, demonstrating what officials described as resilience and a deep commitment to public service. He was praised as a valued member of the department whose contributions “will not be forgotten.”
