City looking for funds to cover solid waste costs amid struggle with JXN Water

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Jackson city officials are having to use any available funds to cover residential trash collections for November and December, after saying JXN Water failed to remit millions in sanitation fees collected as part of customers’ water bills.

On Tuesday, the Jackson City Council voted 5-1 to approve its claims docket.
