Experimental Aviation Association (EAA) Chapter 276, which is based at John Bell WIlliams Airport in Raymond, is looking for applicants for a $12,000 scholarship that provides for primary training for a private pilot’s license. The Ray Scholarship is awarded to local chapters to select and award to a young person interested in aviation.
Applicants should have a strong interest in aviation, be highly motivated and goal-oriented, be committed to completing the program, and be able to obtain his/her private pilot’s license by age 21. Students who wish to apply are asked to submit their curriculum vitae/resume, along with an essay (suggested one page) on why they are interested in aviation – what they hope to achieve, a strategy for doing so, how the scholarship would help.
Finalists will be asked to participate in an interview with the executive committee of the local chapter…
