Jackson mayor invites faith groups to 2026 city prayer event

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson Mayor John Horhn has invited faith groups to attend the 2026 All City Call to Prayer and Jackson.

The event seeks to bring religious organizations into action for the Jackson community. This year’s theme, “Faith in Action for a Rising Jackson,” will have a focus on working together and showing respect across the Jackson community.

Organizers invited churches and faith groups from across Jackson to send at least three representatives from their respective congregations to join the citywide prayer service, which will focus on wisdom and strength for city leaders and success for municipal initiatives. These members will also hear the mayor’s call to action for the city’s religious organizations.
