AMITE, La. (WAFB) – A work release inmate who walked off the job in September has been located in a homeless encampment, deputies said.
According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, the inmate, Christopher Delcambre, 51, was recaptured by the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force Monday morning, January 5, in the Jackson, Mississippi area. He’s facing new charges of aggravated escape.
