Damaging Winds, Tornado Possible Friday

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -A First Alert Weather Day is in effect for Friday as a strong cold front moves in late Thursday night into Friday, bringing a line of severe thunderstorms. Damaging winds are the primary concern, with hail, frequent lightning, and isolated tornadoes also possible. The strongest storms are expected overnight, with the system expected to be out by Saturday morning, and much colder air moving in behind it.

Warm and mainly dry conditions continue Tuesday through Thursday with partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid to upper 70s, well above average. Thursday could approach the record high of 78°, with a few showers possible late ahead of the front…
