JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -First Alert Weather Day Friday. A cold front will move into the area and push a line of developing thunderstorms through as well. Some of the storms could be severe with wind, hail, torrential rain frequent lightning likely. Damaging wind & a tornado are possible. The storm system should be at it’s worst during the night and push out of the area Saturday morning resulting in a colder weekend.
While we can expect some passing clouds over the next few days, the overall forecast will be for dry and warm weather, with highs reaching the upper 70s by Thursday. The record high Thursday is 78 and we could flirt with that.
Also on Thursday, a few showers could develop ahead of our next cold front…
