JACKSON — Mayor John Horhn and the Inter-Faith Task Force will host the 2026 All City Call to Prayer and Action on Jan. 15 at Thalia Mara Hall, inviting churches and faith groups across Jackson to unite in prayer and community service.
The gathering is scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and is intended to bring congregations together at the start of the new year for a citywide prayer service and a call to action from the mayor. Organizers are encouraging each congregation to send at least three representatives, though additional participants are welcome.
“The start of a new year gives us a chance to realign our hearts and renew our commitment to one another,” Horhn said. “This event is about faith in action, lifting up our city through prayer and then getting to work to make Jackson stronger, cleaner, and more united.”…
