RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) – Five teenagers are facing charges for their involvement in a fight at Northpark Mall’s food court on Saturday.
In a Thursday meeting between law enforcement and Northpark Mall, management policies and procedures moving forward were the priority. Though the new general manager for the mall was not available for comment, Ridgeland Police Chief Brian Myers said they’re actively working together to implement new plans and safety measures.

“Department heads met with the the new management of the mall and very impressed with, that young man. And he just got here, I believe he said Sunday. And he’s got a lot of bright ideas. And the city always wants to support Northpark. We, Ridgeland PD, will always be there. Always be close. We’re always in the parking lots. You’ll see us walking through,” said Myers.
The initial fight involved seven juveniles. Ridgeland police said two of the teenagers were with their mother. Myers assured that this type of behavior will not be tolerated and those involved will be taken to jail. The chief emphasized that actions have consequences…
