JACKSON — Mission Mississippi will host its 10th annual Mississippi Legislative Prayer Breakfast on Jan. 14, bringing together lawmakers, civic leaders, and members of the Christian community for a morning focused on prayer and unity.
The event is scheduled for 8 a.m. at First Baptist Church Jackson, 431 N. State St., in Fellowship Hall East. Organizers say the breakfast is intended to encourage prayer as “the first and most important tool” for the flourishing of Mississippi, particularly as the state enters a new legislative year.
“This year we are issuing a specific challenge: to recognize prayer as the first and most important tool for the flourishing of Mississippi,” Mission Mississippi President Brian Crawford said in an email invitation. “We take our call to pray for our legislative leaders with the utmost seriousness.”…
