City poised to continue to build on growth, enhance quality of life and services

As 2025 closes, it’s worth taking stock of the past year and looking ahead to plans for the coming year. On a personal note, being elected and serving as your Mayor has been incredibly humbling and gratifying. I deeply appreciate the trust the citizens of Clinton have placed in me and pledge to always put your interests first. This past year has been filled with much growth and success in Clinton. We plan to build on that growth in the coming year by continuing to invest in infrastructure, enhancing quality of life for our residents, and strengthening City services.

Last year saw the long awaited ground-breaking of the Clinton Raymond Bolton Wastewater Authority project. This is the largest infrastructure project in the city’s history and is vital to our ability to grow and develop in the future. Over the next year, construction will continue, and the City will continue to seek legislative funding at all levels for the project.

The City continued its commitment to street paving over the last year and will do so in 2026. The City was able to utilize matching grants to greatly extend our paving dollars and plans to do so again this year, budgeting a total of one million dollars for street paving. The City will also begin taking steps to address drainage problems that have long plagued residents. Analysis received this year from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will help the City to identify potential mitigation projects. Additionally, the City has appropriated three hundred thousand dollars in this budget to begin available work now, as well as planning and design for larger scale mitigation projects…
