SULPHUR, La. (KPLC) – An 18-year-old from Mississippi is facing charges following a high-speed chase on I-10E.
Karrington Mitchell, 18, of Brandon, Mississippi, is accused of leading Sulphur police on a pursuit before crashing in Lake Charles.
On Jan. 12, around 5:17 p.m., an officer with the Sulphur Police Department spotted Mitchell driving 92 miles per hour on I-10E, Maj. Jason Gully of SPD said. Mitchell refused to pull over and continued driving.
The chase continued into Lake Charles until Mitchell hit a disabled vehicle on the shoulder near the U.S. 171 exit, Gully said. Minor injuries were reported from the crash…
