RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) – The City of Ridgeland will begin work on the South Wheatley Rehabilitation Project on January 19, 2026.
City leaders said Hemphill Construction was contracted to complete the project, which is expected to take approximately nine months to complete. They said the construction will occur in phases and will require temporary lane closures throughout most of the project.

Detour signage will be in place during each phase to help guide drivers through the area.
