MADISON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A Brookhaven man was killed during a two-vehicle crash in Madison County.
The crash occurred on U.S. 49 near Petrified Forest Road around 8:10 p.m. on January 16, 2026.
Natchez man arrested for arson of semi-truck
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), a 2007 Toyota Camry, driven by 41-year-old Joey Quarles, was traveling north on the highway when it hydroplaned and collided with a 2020 Honda CR-V that was occupied by three people. The Toyota then ran off the road and hit a tree.
Troopers said Quarles died at the scene. The driver and the passengers of the Honda were not injured…
