Boil water notice issued for 515 customers in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A boil water notice has been issued for 515 water connections on the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District (PRVWSD) in Madison County.

According to the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH), the system lost pressure from damage to a water main.

The customers in the following subdivisions and businesses in the Main Harbor water system were affected:

  • Mallard Point
  • Point Clear
  • Tavern Hill
  • Marina at Roses Bluff
  • Summers Bay
  • Roses Bluff
  • Harbortowne
  • Copper Ridge
  • Breakers
  • Main Harbor
  • Smith Marine
  • North Harbor Condominiums
  • Jackson Yacht Club
  • Cock of the Walk
  • Pelican Cove
  • Waller Craft Center
  • Ridgeland Fire Station No. 3

Health officials recommend that all water be boiled for one minute before it is consumed. The water system will be notified when tests show that the water is safe to drink.
