JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Multiple shelters and warming centers are opening in the metro area and across the state for people with nowhere else to go, to escape the cold.
The Stewpot Opportunity Center will be open Saturday and nightly, for as long as temperatures remain dangerously low.
Stewpot is also expanding the hours of its ‘Clothing Closet’ for those who need something warm to wear, and it will continue serving daily lunch, along with hot drinks and indoor space to warm up…
