Madison Co. 2026 Road Plan spawns five additional lawsuits from city of Madison

MADISON, Miss. (WLBT) – A controversial road plan rescinded and reapproved by the Madison County Board of Supervisors has sparked five new lawsuits.

This month, the city of Madison filed notices of appeal in Madison County Circuit Court, asking the court to overturn the Board of Supervisors’ decision approving the 2026 Road Plan at its January 5 meeting, and the four accompanying agreements with the entities that would benefit from it.

The city argues that the board put together the $6 million in secret and without the input of two of the board’s five supervisors, and that the city of Madison was unfairly left out…
