MISSISSIPPI — One person was killed during a crash early Friday morning along the Interstate 55 Frontage Road, according to police.
The crash occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Jan. 30, 2026. Authorities with the Jackson Police Department said a black Toyota Camry occupied by two males was traveling southbound on Interstate 55 at a high rate of speed when it ran off the roadway and came to rest underneath a bridge.
Police said a 17-year-old occupant died as a result of the crash. A 21-year-old was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of the injuries was not immediately released…
