JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -A First Alert Weather Day is in effect for Sunday morning due to the bitter cold. Temperatures started in the teens this morning with wind chill values below 10 in a few of our eastern counties. The good news is that temperatures will climb into the 40s this afternoon, bringing us above freezing for the first time since Friday.
The work week will start with warmer temperatures, with afternoon highs warming into the low 60s. This is before our next frontal system moves through on Tuesday night. It will bring scattered showers and drop temperatures back into the 40s for the end of the week. Next weekend looks to be mild and dry with temperatures in the low 60s…
