City, state leaders offer more details about legislation creating water authorities

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Jackson city leaders are pushing back against two bills that would create a regional authority to take over the city’s water and sewer systems once the third-party manager leaves.

This week, committees in the House and Senate passed out versions of the “Metro Jackson Water Authority Act.”
