Georgetown: A legacy of community and education

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Georgetown community is one of Jackson’s oldest and most influential, historically Black neighborhoods. The community helped raise a generation of lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs, teachers, and college professors.

At 102 years old, Elise Morgan still remembers the children who filled her yard and the role the neighborhood played in shaping their futures.
