Two burglary suspects arrested after guns found in Hinds CC dorms

RAYMOND, Miss. (WJTV) – Raymond police announced two auto burglary suspects were arrested after guns were found in dorm rooms on the campus of Hinds Community College.

Police said the executed two search warrants on two separate dorm rooms around 2:45 p.m. on February 6, 2026. They said a “significant” amount of evidence was recovered, including three firearms.

According to investigators, Jeremiah Wilson, 19, of Jackson, and Tevyn Haymore, 18, of Greenwood, were arrested on auto burglary warrants during the search.

Police said there were auto burglaries of unlocked vehicles reported the morning of February 4, 2026, on Dupree Street and outside city limits on Pine Hill. They said surveillance video showed two suspects going through one of the vehicles.

“Please make sure to lock your doors to your vehicles and your houses, and don’t leave firearms and valuables in your vehicles, if at all possible,” police said.
