A road rage incident on Interstate 20 in Jackson left an 18-wheeler driver wounded Tuesday morning, according to the Jackson Police Department.
Police said the shooting occurred around 6 a.m. on I-20 westbound between Ellis Avenue and Highway 18. Investigators determined the victim was driving a white Freightliner semi-truck and attempting to change lanes when a second white Freightliner pulled alongside him, allegedly trying to block the maneuver.
After a dispute between the drivers, police said a passenger in the second truck fired multiple shots into the victim’s vehicle, striking him once in the shoulder. The driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries…
