New details on ‘suspicious notes’ found on Hinds County courthouses, other downtown buildings

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Authorities are investigating suspicious notes left on multiple downtown Jackson buildings, including both Hinds County courthouses, Thalia Mara Hall, and a Roman Catholic church.

Sheriff Tyree Jones said investigators are looking for a suspect wanted for vandalizing several downtown buildings with black spray paint. The suspect was captured on surveillance committing the crime.

The incident delayed openings at both courthouses this morning at East Pascagoula and South President Street. Jones said the content of the suspect’s notes prompted the security precautions…
