JACKSON — A man was shot multiple times early Monday and drove himself to a gas station on East McDowell Road before calling 911, authorities said.
Officers with the Jackson Police Department responded around 12:50 a.m. to a gas station in the 300 block of East McDowell Road after receiving a report of an aggravated assault.
When Precinct 1 officers arrived, they learned the victim had been shot several times and had driven himself to the location seeking help. The man told patrol officers the shooting occurred in front of a residence in the 200 block of Champion Hill Drive.
