RANKIN COUNTY – A suspect wanted in Arkansas was found and arrested in Rankin County during a joint fentanyl investigation by local law enforcement.
According to the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office and Pearl Police Department, deputies and officers conducted a controlled purchase of fentanyl and suboxone on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, involving Kendall Wayne Peden.
Peden was taken into custody and booked into the Rankin County Jail on charges of sale of a Schedule II controlled substance and sale of a Schedule III controlled substance. Authorities said both charges were enhanced because the alleged sales occurred within 1,500 feet of a church…
