JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Mayor John Horhn says Jackson is on the “precipice of something great.”
Hours after introducing his choice for the city’s next top cop, Horhn was optimistic all the ingredients were finally in place to get a handle on one of the biggest issues plaguing the city for years – crime.
“If we’re able to reduce crime… I don’t think there’s any stopping this city,” he said. “Economic development is going to flow. Tourism is going to flow even more than it is. We’re going to see folks who are looking to make investments in our city. Education is going to be improved. So, I’m feeling as if Jackson is like a phoenix about to rise from the ashes.”…
