JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Residents in South Jackson said an abandoned apartment complex has become a growing safety concern.
The residents said conditions at Blossom Apartments have continued to deteriorate for months after services were cut off and units left vacant. They said it’s another eyesore in the capital city.

“Livid, because I was like, I can’t believe an owner would leave a vacant property in a abandoned property in such condition such as this. And then you have squatters, you have drugs or any type of illegal activity being done,” said Brittney Bowman, a Jackson resident.
WJTV 12 News reached out to the City of Jackson about efforts to address the conditions at the apartment complex, but we did not receive a response. Bowman said her team took matters into their own hands to protect South Jackson…
