RIDGELAND, Miss. (WLOX) — On Friday, both soccer teams representing St. Patrick clashed against St. Andrew’s with the biggest prize of them all on the line: a state championship.

In the second of 14 soccer state championship games happening Friday and Saturday, St. Patrick’s boys’ team took the pitch following the conclusion of the girls’ game. The squad secured its first state championship since 2017 by defeating St. Andrew’s by a score of 1-0.
The Irish made easy work out of North Forrest and Southeast Lauderdale to begin the postseason, outscoring both teams by a combined 15-1.
