JACKSON — Jackson Police Chief and Hinds County Sheriff Tyree D. Jones is urging residents to report criminal activity through Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers, emphasizing that public safety depends on community involvement.
In a Facebook post late last week, Jones said fighting crime is not solely the responsibility of law enforcement but a shared duty among residents.
“The safety of our community is not the responsibility of law enforcement alone,” Jones said. “It belongs to all of us. Every tip called in, every piece of information shared, and every neighbor who speaks up makes our streets safer for the families we serve.”…
