The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a severe weather warning for much of Mississippi that includes large hail and damaging winds for Thursday afternoon, Feb. 26, and into the night.
The warning includes counties in and near the Interstate 20 corridor and north near the Mississippi and Tennessee state line. Much of the area is under a Marginal risk, or Level 1 threat while the central portion is under a Slight Risk, or Level 2 threat.
