Jackson filmmaker seeks community support for national competition

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A Jackson filmmaker is one of ten semifinalists in the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s Film Lab for Racial Healing, a first-of-its-kind national competition that drew more than 50 submissions from across the country.

Now, Alexis Noble is asking the Jackson community to help fund her entry.

Noble’s short film, “One Good Picture,” is a 10-minute story about family, memory, and what we leave behind. The film follows a grandmother who wants to take one final family photo while she is still alive, after the death of her husband…
