An 18-wheeler hauling steel beams ran off the road Thursday morning, snarling traffic for more than an hour in the northbound lanes of I-55 near the Madison Exit, authorities said.
At approximately 11 a.m., an 18-wheeler driver traveling northbound on Interstate 55 near the Madison exit was to make an abrupt stop when a vehicle came to a sudden stop in front of him, Lt. Micah Taylor said.
