Jackson crews work to clear creek of debris to prevent flooding

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – During a Public Works Committee meeting in Jackson this week, leaders raised concerns about clogged creeks and ditches that could lead to flooding.

Pastor Lanford Porter, Sr., has led Apostolic Restoration Ministry for more than 12 years. He said flooding from the nearby Hardy Creek has been a problem since day one.

“We’ve been at this location for approximately 12 to 13 years. When we purchased this property, this was already a problem. So, it’s been an ongoing problem with this flooding,” he said.
