Severe Storms Possible Across Mississippi Monday Afternoon

JACKSON, Miss. — The National Weather Service and the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency are warning residents across Mississippi to stay weather-aware Monday as the potential for severe storms develops during the afternoon and evening hours.

According to the National Weather Service office in Jackson, parts of the state are under a “slight risk” (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather today, while other areas remain under a “marginal risk” (Level 1 of 5).
