JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Sheriff Tyree Jones is facing a new federal lawsuit after a former employee alleges he retaliated against her for filing an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) complaint.
Crystal Houston is suing Jones and Hinds County in U.S. District Court, alleging she was fired from Jackson State University’s Department of Public Safety (JSU) within weeks of Jones seeing her work two JSU football games and the Battle of the Bands as a JSU officer.
