Richland improving roadways around town

Richland Public Works Director Jason Sutphin said the City is working on a number of road projects to help make traffic easier for residents.

The Richland Circle Project is about a couple of months to completion, according to Sutphin. It will widen the road behind the high school from a car and a half to two full lanes of traffic, which will make it easier and safer for cars and buses to maneuver through the area.

“We widened the road behind the high school by about four feet to allow two lanes of traffic and a sidewalk,” said Sutphin. “Also, part of the same project is widening the intersection at Old Highway 49 at McBride. The construction crews almost have the drainage in and will then add asphalt and striping.”…
